The Society for Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (GAMM) promotes scientific work in various fields. Our experts Muhannad Hawwash and Quirin Hösch will give the lectures »Twisted Wire Strands under Coupled Bending and Torsion« and »The Role of Fiber Orientation in the Analysis and Simulation of Toroidal Hoses Under Internal Pressure« on site.

Our experts Dr. Fabio Julian Schneider-Jung, Dr. Jochen Fiedler and Axel Gallrein present their latest research in the field of »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering« at the Automotive CAE Grand Challenge 2025. Fabian Castelli from the department »Transportation Processes« is also present at the scapos AG stand with our simulation tool »MESHFREE«.

Esther Packullat and Dr. Isabel Michel will give a lecture on the topic »On the Relationship Between Science and AI«. The focus is on the book »Women researchers in focus – We create change«.

Our expert Dr. Joachim Jonuscheit from the department »Material Characterization and Testing« gives a presentation at the DGZfP meeting on »Possibilities of Industrial Use of Microwave and Terahertz Testing Technology«.

The Franco-German University (DFH) is funding a research training group that supports doctoral students from the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU) and the Fraunhofer ITWM. For the past 13 years, six doctoral students have completed parts of their studies in France at the Center de Morphologie Mathématique de MINES Paris (CMM). It takes place in Kaiserslautern on the campus of the Fraunhofer ITWM.

Our experts from the »Materials Characterization and Testing« department are on site. Prof. Dr. Georg von Freymann gives a lecture entitled »Terahertz Quantum Sensing« and Prof. Dr. Ioachim Pupeza presents a lecture entitled »High-Dynamic-Range Electro-Optic Sampling for Biomedical Applications«.

We are at the Control 2025 with experts from our »Materials Characterization and Testing« and »Image Processing« departments at the joint Fraunhofer Vision booth.
