The Society for Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (GAMM) promotes scientific work in various fields. Our experts Muhannad Hawwash and Quirin Hösch will give the lectures »Twisted Wire Strands under Coupled Bending and Torsion« and »The Role of Fiber Orientation in the Analysis and Simulation of Toroidal Hoses Under Internal Pressure« on site.

The Franco-German University (DFH) is funding a research training group that supports doctoral students from the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU) and the Fraunhofer ITWM. For the past 13 years, six doctoral students have completed parts of their studies in France at the Center de Morphologie Mathématique de MINES Paris (CMM). It takes place in Kaiserslautern on the campus of the Fraunhofer ITWM.

The »VDI Conference on Human Vibrations« focuses on issues and solutions relating to the effects of oscillations and vibrations on people in traffic and at the workplace. Our experts Dr. René Reinhard, Dr. Sebastian Emmerich and Jonathan Schneidert are on site to present our work in the division »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering«.

The Battery Show Europe offers participants the opportunity to discover the latest products and solutions from the battery industry at the largest trade fair in Europe. Over 800 battery manufacturing companies will present the latest market innovations, ideas for increasing battery efficiency and reducing production costs with live product demonstrations. Our experts on site are presenting an exhibit for »inline layer thickness measurement of the coating of battery foils«. They are also presenting the latest developments of our simulation tool »BEST« as well as the possibilities of physical cell simulation and the simulation of battery production processes.

The PANNDT conference offers a platform for experts and researchers to exchange information on NDT techniques. The latest developments, innovative tools and current trends in the areas of inspection, QA/QC and manufacturing are presented. Our expert Dr. Joachim Jonuscheit, deputy head of the »Materials Characterization and Testing« department, presents an exhibit entitled »Inline Thickness Measurement of Coatings on Battery Foils« at the joint booth with Fraunhofer FHR.

Our expert Dr. Peter Klein from the division »Optimization« gives an introductory talk at the DPP4EU conference on a session, which addresses the connection between innovation processes and industrial manufacturing in the implementation of digital product passports (DPPs).

fleXstructures GmbH, IPS AB, the Fraunhofer-Chalmers Centre (FCC) and we are pleased to invite you to the sixth International IPS Cable Simulation Conference on June 25 and 26, 2025 in the hometown of fleXstructures Kaiserslautern. Many IPS Cable Simulation users from all over the world have already taken the opportunity to attend our conferences to learn more about the development of the software and new features and to share their own experiences with users from different fields and countries. With the sixth IPS Cable Simulation User Conference 2025, we want to continue this tradition and strengthen the international network of experts using cable simulation technology.

The ESMC offers a platform for scientists to exchange ideas on the current state of solid mechanics. Our experts from division »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering« present two lectures.

Our expert Prof. Dr. Ioachim Pupeza from the »Materials Characterization and Testing« department is on site and gives one of the two plenary lectures entitled »High-Sensitivity and High-Dynamic-Range Field-Resolved Infrared Spectroscopy for Biology and Medicine«.

The aim of this event is to bring together experts from the focus area of »Structural Systems and Their Parts or Elements for Highly Flexible and Lean Structures« in order to exchange ideas and present current results.

The purpose of this hybrid conference is to provide a forum for applied mathematicians from academia, research labs and industry to exchange ideas and present recent results. The focus of this first edition of KLAIM is on the role of applied mathematics in the development of digital twins.
