ISC High Performance (until 2015 International Supercomputing Conference) is an international conference and exhibition that promotes the growth of a global high performance computing community of technology providers and users.
Our colleague Dr. Franz-Josef Pfreundt, Chief Strategy Officer of our division »High Performance Computing«, represents Fraunhofer ITWM on site together with a team of colleagues at an own exhibition booth.
At the annual forum, experts from research, economy, and industry come together to exchange visions, ideas, and knowledge from the four major topics of the event: High Performance Computing (HPC), Machine Learning (ML), Data Analytics and Quantum Computing.
GaspiLS is our scalable linear solver library, which has already proven itself in industrial companies in times of exascale computing. Many simulations in engineering are based on computational fluid dynamics and finite element methods (CFD and FEM methods), for example the determination of aerodynamic properties of aircraft or the analysis of building statics. To gain faster insights from these simulations, we have developed the linear iterative solver library GaspiLS.
With the open-source multi-user software stack Carme, multiple users can manage the available resources of a computing cluster. In doing so, our software combines machine learning with high-performance (HPC) clusters: With the integration of an interactive cluster usage, users get the chance to use already known tools of data analysis on a complex HPC cluster.
More information about CARME can be found here.
