Machine and Deep Learning Seminar: Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Klaus Dorer from Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, Institute for Machine Learning and Analytics (IMLA) will give a digital lecture on »Deep Reinforcement Learning«.

This year we will have a booth at the fair where we will present our work. Additionally, one of our experts, Dr. Petra Gospodnetić, will give a talk on site about her work in the areas of »Image Processing« and »Machine Vision and Machine Learning«.

ISC High Performance 2023 is an international conference and exhibition that promotes the growth of a global high-performance computing community of technology providers and users. Our colleague Dr. Franz-Josef Pfreundt, Chief Strategy Officer of our division »High Performance Computing«, represents Fraunhofer ITWM on site together with a team of colleagues at an own exhibition booth.

The Battery Show is one of the meeting points for the European battery community to exchange information about the latest developments and innovations. For our institute, Dr. Konrad Steiner, head of the department »Flow and Material Simulation«, will be present together with a team at the booth of the Fraunhofer Battery Alliance. Dr. Jochen Zausch will give a presentation at the conference there.

Machine and Deep Learning Seminar: Ricard Durall Lopez from the division »High Performance Computing« at Fraunhofer ITWM will give a digital lecture on »Deep Learning for Seismic Applications«.

The Bonding Kaiserslautern – an initiative for students, organizes an excursion to the Fraunhofer ITWM on May 25, 2023. The offer is addressed to all interested students who would like to have a look behind the scenes of a research institute. During the tour, there will be the possibility to see the laboratories inside the institute and to get to know different projects during lectures.

In the webinar, speakers from the LIFE ECOTRAVID project consortium will provide information about the Virtual Measurement Campaign (VMC) software they have used to develop web services for consumption-optimized route planning for global freight transport. Our colleagues Dr. Michael Speckert and Thomas Halfmann from »Mathematics for Vehicle Development« will present on several topics of the webinar.
