Today, fraud prevention is a crucial competitive factor in the insurance industry and poses major challenges for insurers. For this reason, insurers are increasingly professionalizing their organizations and claims management. The technical possibilities for data-driven fraud detection continue to develop at a rapid pace. The conference offers versatile insights into strategies, methods as well as current projects from the practice of fraud management.

Our researchers from the departments  »Image Processing« and »Financial Mathematics« are developing AI software in the »PflegeForensik« project together with the Dresden Public Prosecutor's Office and the Commissariat for Economic Crime of the Leipzig Police Directorate to support the authorities in prosecuting fraud and minimizing the damage to insurance companies.

Our expert Yannick Becker from the department »Financial Mathematics« will give a presentation on the use of artificial intelligence against billing fraud at the conference and participate in the panel discussion »AI - Advantage for Fraudsters or for Fraud Defense?«.
