With presentations from the fields of industry, operational practice and research, innovative developments in the nonwovens sector will be presented again this year. In addition to the information, participants will get the opportunity to make new contacts and deepen existing ones.

Our colleague Dr. Walter Arne from the department »Transport Processes« will give a presentation on »Modeling, Simulation and Validation for Meltblown Processes«. In addition, Dr. Dietmar Hietel, head of the department »Transport Processes«, and Dr. Walter Arne will have a booth at the accompanying exhibition.
 

Meltblown Processes

Meltblown processes are industrial production processes for manufacturing fine fiber nonwovens. In these processes, molten polymer is forced through nozzles into a forward flowing high velocity stream to be stretched and cooled in the highly turbulent air flow. This ultimately produces the ultra-fine nonwovens.
