Conference

The three-day international conference on particle-based methods (PARTICLES 2023) will bring together experts working on both the fundamentals and applications of state-of-the-art particle-based computational methods, contributing to solutions to a wide range of problems.

The conference is organized by the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) and the International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM). In addition, other scientific international organizations are supporting.

We are present with experts from our department »Transport Processes« and the division »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering« and give lectures.

One of the presentations deals with MESHFREE, our tool for process simulations. With MESHFREE, we have developed an innovative software product for meshfree simulation in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing SCAI. MESHFREE combines the expertise of both institutes in the field of grid-free scientific computing and is already being used in many industries.

The »IPS Demify^®« tool, which is the subject of the »Mathematilk for Vehicle Engineering« presentation, uses particle simulation to accurately predict cutting forces on construction and agricultural machinery.
