Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics ITWMOver the past 30 years, computer simulation has become an indispensable tool in automotive development. Despite significant advances in simulation technology and impressive results in industrial applications, a number of challenges remain. The automotive CAE Grand Challenge promotes the exchange between companies, science, and software development in order to solve these challenges.
Our colleague Dr. Jörg Kuhnert from the department »Transport Processes« will be on site at the booth of our sales partner scapos AG. There he will inform about our software tool MESHFREE.. With MESHFREE, we have been providing a software product for grid-free simulation of physical processes in cooperation with Fraunhofer SCAI since 2018. The tool combines the expertise of both institutes in the field of grid-free scientific computing and has a wide range of applications and its origins in the automotive industry.
