Since 2013, the Ministry of Economics has organized an industry conference – Medtech RLP – for companies in the healthcare industry in Rhineland-Palatinate. With lectures, discussion rounds and an exhibition, the industry conference serves the transfer of knowledge and information, networking and the acquisition of new business/cooperation partners. This year's topic is »Personalized and individualized medicine of the future: new technologies and procedures.« Our colleague Dr. Alexander Scherrer, team leader from the division »Optimization«, will be on site with a presentation and at the discussion panel.

Tire Technology Expo is taking place for the 22nd time this year. It is Europe's most important trade show and conference for tire manufacturing technologies. The show provides an international, technical showcase for materials and equipment covering the entire spectrum of tire manufacturing. Our colleague Dipl.-Ing. Dipl.-Math. Axel Gallrein from the division »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering« will give a presentation on »CD-Tire«, our software for tire modeling, in the workshop »Tire Modeling and its Application in Tire and Vehicle Development«.

At the conference, participants will gain insight into how key players in the global automotive industry are currently using simulations and driving simulators to accelerate the development of new vehicles. We will be there with our experts Francesco Calabrese and Christoph Burkhart from our division »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering« and present some of our projects.

Two experts from our department »Financial Mathematics« will be on site and bring exciting topics to this conference. Women in Data Science (WiDS) Chemnitz is an independent event organized by members of the Junior Research Group »Fast Algorithms for Transparent Recommender Systems« (SALE), which provide outstanding women with the opportunity to present their important work in Data Science..

You can expect exciting job offers and information about the entry and development opportunities at the world's leading organization for applied research. The fair will be rounded off by five exciting presentations by Fraunhofer experts.

At the annual conference of the German Society for Non-Destructive Testing (DGZfP), interested parties meet for a joint exchange on non-destructive material testing. Please visit us at our small booth. Our expert Joachim Jonuscheit from the department »Material Characterization and Testing« will also give a lecture on »Microwaves« and »Terahertz«.

On May 23 and 24, 2022, we are organizing a workshop on »Mathematical Image Processing / Traitement d'image mathématique« together with the Franco-German University. A team from our department »Image Processing« will contribute to the exciting program with posters and talks.

Every two years, the »Tire – Chassis – Roadway« conference provides information on innovations in the development and design of tires, chassis technology and roadways. Our tire experts will be on site to present our work in the field of »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering« and give a presentation on a hardware-in-the-loop simulation for virtual testing of control units.

ISC High Performance is the largest community gathering in Europe for High Performance Computing, Machine Learning and Data Analytics. Some of our experts will be present and contribute to the program with a booth.

The workshop offers scientists and industry representatives the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience in the field of Terahertz technology. The potential of the technology for analysis, testing and measurement tasks has been impressively demonstrated for various applications in recent years. However, a number of challenges still have to be solved for use in industry.
