Winterschool

The project »Quantum Initiative Rhineland-Palatinate« (QUIP) is organizing the »QUIP International Winter School on Quantum Machine Learning« (»Quickstart 2024«) in February 2024.

Together with the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU), the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), our institute is a member of the Quantum Initiative Rhineland-Palatinate. The »QIUP« project specifically promotes young researchers in the field of quantum computing and quantum technologies and offers a detailed and broad research program for education, training and networking.

The QUIP Winter School brings together students, leading researchers and industry to discuss the latest developments, challenges and applications in the field of Quantum Machine Learning. The program offers exciting courses and diverse talks by speakers from different application areas of Quantum Machine Learning. Experts from our institute will also give talks on their research in the field.

Dr. Valeria Bartsch from the division »High Performance Computing« is significantly involved in the project and, together with Maximilian Kiefer-Emmanouilidis from project partner DFKI, responsible for organizing the Winter School.
