Joint stand of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft – Booth 6C89

The JEC World exhibition brings together global companies, innovative start-ups and researchers in the field of composites and advanced materials. In workshops, panel discussions and exhibitions, participants can learn about and be inspired by composite materials for various applications, such as aerospace, marine, construction, automotive and more. They can also expand their network of suppliers and partners with exhibitors and trade visitors from 100 different countries.

Our experts from the department »Materials Characterization and Testing« will present the exhibit »Zerstörungsfreie Prüfung von Verbundwerkstoffen« (Non-destructive Testing of Composite Materials).

In the project »ASKIVIT«, we are working with partners on automated sorting to recover wood, wood-based materials and non-ferrous metals. Our experience in the field of terahertz imaging, among other things, is supporting here.

DOTNAC

Within the framework of the DOTNAC project, funded by the EU, we developed a terahertz scanner for testing aircraft components together with partners from research and industry.

RADOM

A millimeter-wave terahertz system developed by our institute checks radar domes of planes (radom) for defects.

Handheld Terahertz Sensor

The handheld scanner is a complete Terahertz system for non-destructive on-site testing.
