Sensing with Quantum Light 2024 (SQL24)

Classical light measurement methods such as imaging, microscopy, spectroscopy and interferometric methods have been central tools of science for centuries. Quantum light measurement is now opening up a completely new field that uses the unique properties of quantum optical states to go beyond the classical limits of resolution and sensitivity and offer innovative measurement methods. For example, different wavelength ranges can be combined to obtain more precise and comprehensive data.

The workshop aims to highlight a broad spectrum of theoretical and experimental aspects of sensing with quantum light and provides a platform for both the discussion of fundamental principles and the presentation of concrete applications.

Our colleague Dipl.-Phys. Mirco Kutas from the department »Materials Characterization and Testing« will give a talk on »Terahertz Sensing and Imaging with Undetected Photons« during the workshop.
