Felix Klein Autumn School 2024
Workshop for Felix Klein Scholarship Holders
Once a year, the Felix Klein Academy organizes an autumn school for Felix Klein scholarship holders. Supported by mathematicians, the students spend the week learning how to solve problems using mathematical modeling and computer simulations. The groups present their results in a plenary session at the end of the week.
The teams are made up of math students from different semesters. Their task is to translate a real-life problem into a mathematical one. They evaluate the model that is developed and check the relevance of the solution. The participants were able to choose between three projects with different thematic focuses in advance.
The three project groups are supervised by doctoral students from the Fraunhofer ITWM:
- Quirin Hoesch and Tian Zhao from the division »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering«
- Tobias Wolf from the department »System Analysis, Prognosis and Control«
- Marvin Schulte from the department »Transport Processes«
