KIP - Network meeting

»Making repositories and AI systems usable in everyday care«

On September 26 and 27, the KIP network meeting »Making repositories and AI systems usable in everyday care« will take place in Berlin. On Tuesday, 26.09.2023, there will be an internal Barcamp for all staff members of the BMBF funding line »Making repositories and AI systems usable in everyday care (KIP projects)«. On Wednesday, 27.09.2023, is the public expert day for all interested parties from nursing, politics, science and society. Among other things, there will be presentations of the KIP projects, keynotes, panel discussions and workshops.

At this conference BMBF funding program (Federal Ministry of Education and Research) will be presented. Among them, »ViKI pro«, in which the Fraunhofer ITWM is involved via the division »Optimization«.

The »ViKI pro« project involves the development of a web-based application for care planning based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and mathematical decision-making. Care experts can use it to record individual care needs and plan appropriate measures based on digital expertise. The documentation of the care measures carried out serves to gain experiential knowledge that can be used in future planning situations. The aim is to improve the quality of care in inpatient care and to use resources more efficiently. The project is being carried out in collaboration with partners from nursing science, nursing practice, technology and industry and is receiving funding from the BMBF for a period of three years starting in August 2022.
