Hybrid Congress

The International Materials Science and Engineering Congress – MSE 2024 takes place in Darmstadt and demonstrates the potential and cooperation in the field of materials science and engineering. The congress is organized by the German Society for Materials Science (DGM) and takes place every two years.

Over 1200 participants from all over the world will come together at the congress in this year's host country Sweden, which is a leading country in materials science. There will be a wide range of activities on site, from plenary lectures to poster sessions.

Our colleague Aiswarya Nair Manikantan Geetha from the department »Image Processing« will be on site to give a presentation titled »Two-Scale Geometric Modelling of Wood Fiber Insulation Boards Based on Sub-µ Synchrotron Radiation Computed Tomography Images«.

Maxime Krier from the »Flow and Material Simulation« department is also representing us with a poster presentation on the BMWK project »DigiLaugBeh« on the subject »Fatigue Modeling of Components Made of Long-Fiber-Reinforced Polymers Exemplified for the Lye Container of a Washing Machine«.
