Theories of solid and fluid mechanics, electromagnetism, heat transfer, plasma physics, and other scientific disciplines are implemented using computational methods in engineering design, manufacturing, and in the study of broad classes of physical phenomena. The discipline concerned with the application of computational methods and devices for these purposes is called computational mechanics and has become a key area of research, education, and application worldwide. This is precisely the topic of this congress.
